| Tech is great! I'm an ISYE now (Industrial and Systems
Engineering). It's more like business than anything else, except
with a lot more math...mathematical modeling of real-world situations
mostly. And the crowd in ISYE is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better
than the crowd in Chem E. Holy cow. No wonder I was
depressed in Chem E...everyone is an introvert. BOO.
Yeah so my life rocks now. I'm living in an awesome townhouse, in
an awesome location, with awesome classes and awesome classmates.
Awe.....some....more.

| So...Georgia Tech is having a movie night tomorrow, and of all things
they're playing Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. How nerdish
is that? I wish I didn't go there. I want to go to
UGA...Athens is so much fun.
Anyone who's any good want to play me in raquetball or tennis? I need to find some more people to play with.
I'm going back to Tech in the summer for Mechanical Engineering, and
There's about a 60% chance I won't change to Industrial Engineering or
decide to transfer to UGA before the summer semester's over. I
have to go back b/c if I don't I won't have medical insurance.
I bought a new Taylor acoustic electric!!! And I might buy a PA
system with an 8-channel mixer soon so I can play anything through it
that I want!!!
My new dog Bailey is awesome...more than words can describe.
She's like a person. Lol. Well, except she licks her own
croch. But other than that....
Woodstock is getting boring. I want to LEEEEEAAAAVVVVEEEEEEE. AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I need to find someone to play music with when I go off to college so we can do open mic night duo's.
I might join a fraternity if I can find one I can get along well with.
I wish I were going to Athens this weekend....man...such a fun place. But you have to be with the right people!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm still working at a civil engineering firm....taking 2 semesters off was definitely the best thing I could have done.

| Hey check out my new dog...she's awesome! My sister and I want to
name her Jolie (Edit: 3-27-2006: We actually ended up naming her Bailey). We got her from the Picken's County animal
rescue, b/c they had some dogs for adoption at Petsmart.

| When it comes to TV/entertainment, I think I get the most enjoyment out
of seeing real people perform something that they've practiced and
honed into a form of art - like music or competitive sports. I
had this revelation after watching American Idol and the 2006 winter
Olympics.... It's so cool to observe and compare people side by
side like that...since every person is unique, and has a different
personality and a different approach to what they're doing. (If
anyone of you watched American Idol tonight, I voted for #12...although
I can't remember her name. Simon and I both thought she was
awesome!)
Maybe the whole performance thing is why I always fall for a girl who
can play an instrument or sing well. Nothing says L-O-V-E like
music... for me at least hahaha.

| Well I'm at home for yet another semester...but I definitely think this
was the best thing for me to do. Ideally I would take even more
time off since my ideas on what type of work I want to go into are
changing so much, but if I want to be covered under my parents'
insurance next year, I need to be a full time student at least 2 out of
3 semesters. As for this semester, I've been working for a civil
engineering firm which I really enjoy. It's so much more of a
pleasant environment than a chemical plant. But I'm still not
sure I've found the "right" job. Who knows - maybe it'll take me
10 years to find the best job for me - but don't tell me that.
I'm trying to be more optimistic.
Although I'm so unsure about what I want to do, I'm looking forward-ish
to going back to school in the summer. -ish because Atlanta is
sweltering in the summer, and campus is almost devoid of people.
But hopefully there will be some new and old people there to hang out with.
So here are my current career options:
1.) Civil engineering - To do land planning, surveying, construction, water resources, or other related work
2.) Chemical Engineering - To go work in a nasty chemical plant, or get
a masters degree in something more appealing. Maybe get into
biotech, but that stuff is freaky. I mean, it'd be cool to
"engineer" living things, but somehow it doesn't give me a warm fuzzy
feeling inside *hmph*
3.) Biology - even more in the biotech/genetics vein...God help us all.
4.) Landscape Architecture - Get in touch with my artistic side and design landscapes for new building sites.
5.) Psychology - Get super-analitical about people and groups, and
maybe get into alternative medicine or psychiatry. Kind of a
weird alternative.
6.) International Affairs - Admittedly the least likely option, and the
hardest to find a job with. But things sure are interesting in
the international arena these days.
7.) Medicine - help people with their physical (or mental)
ailments. I might volunteer at a hospital to see if this might be
of interest.
Hmm...so any ideas?
